Hamilton Square is currently on Historic England’s ‘At Risk’ Register! We are working with others (see below) to find the funding and remove the risk.
Our partners are “Wirral Council; Hamilton Square Action Group; and Heritage Lottery”, on a project called “The Conservation Area Regeneration Plan” (CARP).
This will extend the current Hamilton Square Conservation Area towards Conway Street, Adelphi Street, and areas around Birkenhead’s new Dock Branch park (web site link).
The Friends will take the views of local residents to Wirral Council’s consultation process.
